NOAH Donations To Organizations Program

Health Projects USA offers Churches, Civic Organizations, Clubs, Educational Institutions, Government Entities, Fraternal Groups, Fraternities and Sororities, HealthCare Providers, Non-Profit Organizations, Small Businesses, and Families and Individuals the opportunity to participate in the National Osteoporosis Awareness Health Project. This Special Project provides new Funds for the Organization by offering an accuDEXA™ Bone Mineral Density Screening to its Employees, Members, Patients, Staff, Family and Friends, and the General Public at a very reasonable fee.

The Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) Bone Mineral Density Screening is the most-preferred by HealthCare Providers throughout the world.

Osteoporosis is a disease of weak bones. The word Osteoporosis means porous bone. If you looked at a healthy bone under a microscope, you would see that parts of it look like a honeycomb. If you have Osteoporosis, however, the holes and spaces in the honeycomb are much bigger than they are in a healthy bone. And as your bones become less dense, they get weaker and easier to break. Fractures from Osteoporosis can occur in almost any bone, but you are most likely to break bones in your wrist, spine, and hip.

Ten million Americans already have Osteoporosis, and more than triple that number are at high risk. Eighty percent of those who have the disease are women. In fact, a woman’s risk of Osteoporosis is equal to her combined risk of breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer. Many people – including health professionals – mistakenly think of Osteoporosis as a woman’s disease. But think about it: if 8 of the 10 million people who have Osteoporosis are women, then 2 million men have it, too. This might surprise you, but a man older than 50 is more likely to break a bone due to Osteoporosis than he is to get prostate cancer.

Health Projects USA provides everything needed to do these accuDEXA™ Bone Mineral Density Screenings. The Organization determines the best day(s) to host an accuDEXA™ Event, and Markets this accuDEXA™ Event to maximize the Funds Raised for the Organization, and to increase the Positive Publicity and Goodwill in the community for the Organization.

The Health Projects USA accuDEXA™ Bone Mineral Density Screening consists of a 10-second, very low dose X-ray of the Finger, and a Report of the results are provided within two minutes. A Certified accuDEXA™ Technician explains the Results of the Screening, and the Client takes the Report with them, to share with their Healthcare Provider.

An accuDEXA™ Event can be held at any Organization location in the United States.
